Todd Huvard, Clayton, NC-Todd is a past executive director of The First Flight Society, was an advisor to the board of the North Carolina First Flight Centennial Commission, and a former board member of the North Carolina First Flight Centennial Foundation. Todd was deeply involved in promoting groups working on the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flights, including drafting the original legislation that resulted in the creation of the North Carolina First Flight Centennial Commission. He is a lifetime member of the First Flight Society.
An active pilot since 1979, Todd has logged more than 9,300 flight hours in over 130 different types of aircraft. He is a commercial pilot with multi-engine, seaplane and instrument ratings and holds type ratings in Cessna Citation and Dassualt Falcon 20 jet aircraft.
Todd is president and owner of AircraftMerchants, LLC, an international aircraft sales and brokerage firm marketing single and multi-engine pistons, turboprop and jet aircraft. Over his career, he has worked as an executive in marketing, communications and information technology roles in the general aviation industry for several organizations in flight training, aircraft finance and aviation business consulting. He founded and published The Southern Aviator magazine.
Todd and his wife Ashley reside in Clayton, North Carolina and have three grown children.
