DESCRIPTION:The First Flight Society is excited to invite you to join us on Wednesday\, August 19th\, 2026\, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Dare County Regional Airport (MQI) in Manteo\, NC\, for our annual National Aviation Day Fly-In event. This special day honors the spirit of aviation and commemorates the historic first powered flight by the Wright brothers right here in North Carolina. It’s a perfect opportunity for aviation enthusiasts\, families\, and the community to come together and celebrate flight. \nWhat to Expect\n\nFly-In for Pilots: The first 30 pilots to fly into the event will receive a $100 fuel voucher as a thank-you for participating. All pilots will also receive a Recognition Certificate.\nBullseye Flight Team Flyovers: Experience thrilling aerobatic displays by this talented flight team.\nAirplane Displays: Explore a variety of aircraft up close and meet the pilots behind the controls.\nFun for Kids: Take part in a scavenger hunt designed especially for younger attendees.\nGuest Speakers: Hear from experts and historians who will share insights about aviation history and current innovations.\nFood Trucks & Exhibitors: Enjoy delicious food and browse aviation-related exhibits.\nFree Admission & Parking: There’s no cost to attend\, so bring your family and friends!\n\nSupport Our Community: Beach Food Pantry\nThis year\, we are proud to support the Beach Food Pantry through a food drive at the event.
