Celebrate “America 250” – Honoring Our Nation’s Heritage
What to Expect at the Festival:
This year’s theme, “America 250,” celebrates the unique blend of aviation and agricultural history that defines our community and nation. Visitors will enjoy a full day packed with exciting activities that highlight both high-flying thrills and rural traditions.
Spectacular Air Shows: Watch thrilling airplane acrobatics with multiple shows throughout the day.
- The “Prop Plow” Treat Trail: A new interactive experience replacing the traditional candy bomber! Kids can collect stamps and treats at aviation and tractor stations. Don’t forget to wear your costume; a contest will be held at the end of the event.
- Agriculture Olympics:** Cheer on participants competing in fan-favorite rural games and challenges.
- Vendors & Static Displays: Explore a wide range of antique tractors, agricultural equipment, local food vendors, artists, crafters, community resources, and aircraft displays.
- Educational Youth Activities: Interactive experiences including Passport activities, a petting zoo, and live demonstrations from College of Albemarle featuring sheet metal work on planes.
- Canning Contest & Children’s Arts & Crafts: Participate or vote in the “People’s Choice Award” for the canning contest while kids enjoy creative arts and crafts.
New Location & Parking Information
To accommodate the new venue, public parking will be available in a grass lot at the end of Aviation Parkway Commerce Park. Shuttle service will be provided from the parking area to the event entrance. Follow directional signage for smooth entry.
