M. Roy Daniels, III, Elizabeth City, NC – Roy is a proud 3rd generation member of the First Flight Society Board of Directors. His grandfather Melvin R. Daniels, Sr. (cousin to John T. Daniels who photographed the first flight at Kill Devil Hills) is one of the Dare County group of businessmen who created the original Kill Devil Hills Memorial Association that, along with a group from Elizabeth City, successfully achieved the land purchase and subsequent building of the Wright Brothers Memorial. Roy serves on several Boards including: Boys & Girls Club of the Albermarle, Salvation Army, Weeksville Lions Club and others. He retired as a manager with the NC State Government and he and his wife Joan have two sons and two grandchildren.
